Biology Research Labs
This project converted a sloped floor lecture hall into two biology research labs. One lab, for Kellar Autumn, Associate Professor of Biology, supports his studies of the biomechanics and physiology of gecko’s “sticky feet’ and how this may be applied to the future design of legged climbing robots and unique adhesives.
The second biology research lab, converted from a teaching lab, supports Assistant Professor Greta Binford’s research on spiders, which has attracted a national attention including an extensive profile in the New Yorker, an interview on National Public Radio’s Science Friday, and consulting on the first Spiderman movie. |
