This program was initiated by artist and urban design consultant Tad Savinar and sponsored by TriMet and the Portland Development Commission as part of the City of Portland Downtown Transit Mall project.  Hennebery Eddy Architects worked with owners along the Transit Mall to incorporate simple improvements that enhance their properties including:  awnings, signage, lighting, storefront window systems, and building entrances.  The program will establish a pedestrian-friendly, commercially-successful environment along the Transit Mall’s entire 112 block faces.
