Hennebery Eddy has worked with the General Services Administration (GSA) on several projects in the Gus Solomon U.S. Courthouse; our projects have included a Building Preservation Plan (BPP) where interior and exterior zones were developed to guide preservation treatment levels and provide documentation of the building history, original construction, and current material conditions.  Our BPP report includes history and documentation of the building; an analysis of the architectural significance of the building; recommended treatments; and an image library documenting the buildings exterior envelope, significant interior spaces, materials, and features.

 

An exterior assessment of the building included documentation and laboratory analysis of the primary exterior materials and systems (sandstone, mortar, and paint) and a thorough investigation of multiple roof systems.  Recommendations for material treatments and cost estimates completed the assessment.
