The renovation design of this beloved Portland landmark is rooted in the decorative arts of 1920's through the 1940's and the glamour and grace of the golden era of Hollywood.  The renovation kept the best elements of the past and seamlessly integrated them with a refined palate of color, texture, and furnishings from the Art Deco and Art Moderne movements resulting in a classic, timeless, comfortable and technologically savvy hotel.

The $10 million renovation included a complete interior remodel of 130 guest rooms & suites (no two rooms are exactly the same), lobby, lounge and dining room, and meeting/banquet rooms, replacement of all finishes and furniture, new electrical service, and upgrades to guest room HVAC units. David Hill of DH Design provided Interior Design services in collaboration with Hennebery Eddy Architects.
