Lewis & Clark College - Copeland Residence Hall
The project converts under-utilized classroom, storage, and service spaces in the day-lit basement level of Copeland Hall to accommodate 44 new student beds and four new student lounge areas. This 10,900 square foot renovation provided a unique opportunity for the college to quickly add to their on-campus housing stock without incurring the cost of constructing a new building. One crucial aspect of our design is the guiding principle that the students feel like they are part of a community; not isolated in the “basement” of a building. |
