Reed College Language House
Open to students in Reed’s Spanish immersion program, the 9,500 square foot building’s traditional form and steeply pitched roof add character to student rooms and complement the surrounding 1920’s cottages designed by A.E. Doyle. The interconnected living and learning spaces foster a sense of community. Window seats and study alcoves throughout offer varying levels of privacy for study and conversation.
A new plaza designed in collaboration with Mayer | Reed unifies the Language House and its neighbors, the German, French, Chinese, and Russian houses; into an international district, creating a place for students to celebrate these unique cultures. |
