Snyder Park
The site’s previous use as a walnut orchard in Wilsonville Oregon, with tree canopies filtering light and trunks playing games of perspective, inspired the design of this project. The shelters and restroom/concession structures feature tilted, lifted and rotated steel panels that create acute slots allowing glimpses of sky and sunlight to pass through casting slivers of light and creating interesting shadows on the surface of the ground. Interactive landscape architecture by Murase Associates compliments the shelters and engages park goers in a three-dimensional geometric and natural landscape. |
