The Ledges
Inspired by traditional New England farmhouses, the Ledges residence is sited on the east slope of Snake Mountain in Weybridge, Vermont. Hennebery Eddy Architects worked closely with the owners to design a house reflecting their vision and interests, including a rooftop observatory. Natural stone connects the base of the structure with the rock outcropping below, and the living spaces cantilever into the forest canopy, integrating the house with its natural surroundings. Large windows and a long thin plan take advantage of natural daylight and panoramic views of the scenic Green Mountains. |
