As we wrap up 2023, we pause to express our gratitude to our partners, colleagues, clients, and friends for the role you have played in our success and to wish you a warm and happy holiday season! This has been a year of growth for Hennebery Eddy Architects. Our work for clients has expanded, we have hired staff members in all our studios, won numerous awards, presented across the country, and we have deepened our investment and service to our local communities.

This summer, we hosted interns from around the county. During “Intern Week,” they toured the under-construction operations center for Multnomah County Library in Portland.

Celebrating Our Team

Thoughtful, engaged, talented people are the driving force at Hennebery Eddy. In 2023, we celebrated the professional milestones and contributions of many colleagues. Three architects were named associates, three emerging professionals earned their architectural licensure, and our seven interns contributed to numerous projects while conducting their own research, linking coursework and practice.

The Bozeman Community Food Co-op West Main expansion project won the highest design award from AIA Montana this year.

Sharing Our Thought Leadership & Project Work

Throughout the year, Hennebery Eddy subject matter experts presented at conferences around the country, including the Design-Build Institute of America (DBIA) National Conference, the SCUP Pacific Region Conference, the National Organization of Minority Architects (NOMA) National Conference, the Washington Oregon Cascadia Higher Education Sustainability Conference (WOHESC), and the American Association of Museum Administrators Conference, among others. Additionally, our work was honored with design awards from AIA Oregon, AIA Montana, Restore Oregon, The Architect’s Newspaper, DBIA, and the Airports Council of America (North America).

Team members from Hennebery Eddy’s Portland studio volunteered at the Oregon Department of Human Services Alberta office as part of a Juneteenth Day of Service.

Serving Our Communities

As part of our Hennebery Eddy Gives program, our team contributed pro bono services and volunteer hours to architectural, educational, and nonprofit organizations throughout 2023. Hennebery Eddy’s investment in our communities totaled more than 6% of the firm’s annual net profit. Charitable gifts by our staff to 32 organizations supporting environmental and human services causes were matched by the firm. In keeping with our annual tradition, we made year-end holiday contributions to the Oregon Food Bank, NeighborImpact in Central Oregon, and HRDC in Bozeman.

We look forward to connecting in 2024!
