A Look at Our Latest ‘Just’ Label

Hennebery Eddy is recognized as a Just Organization through the International Living Future Institute, reflecting our enduring commitment to equity and social justice. Our voluntary disclosure of 21 different metrics is a public pledge to evaluate areas for continual improvement — from employee satisfaction to financial and community investments.

An early adopter, the firm received its first Just label in 2017 and subsequently renewed in 2019, 2022, and 2024. Each time, we have improved our operations and policies in the pursuit of growing a diverse, inclusive, and equitable workforce and workplace — using the Just manual to help guide our decision-making process. Some highlights of our current label include the following.

  • Diversity & Inclusion: Proactive recruitment program to hire diverse staff, a robust onboarding process to help new staff integrate with the firm, and a sabbatical program open to any person with the firm for 10 years.
  • Employee Benefits: Fully vested safe harbor retirement and profit-sharing plans, six weeks of parental leave paid by the firm (in addition to short-term disability benefits), and a range of continuing education benefits.
  • Stewardship: Paid volunteering time and Days of Service; a community service scholarship; a matching gift program; and commitment to healthy, efficient, and adaptive designs in our projects.

Our participation in the Just program is a way to engage and value our current staff. It’s also a way for prospective staff and clients to evaluate Hennebery Eddy as an employer and business partner. Take a look!
