Bozeman Studio Pets Enhance Workplace Well-being

By Hennebery Eddy

In our Bozeman studio, dogs are more than pets — they are members of our team, bringing joy and unique energy to the workplace. The studio is owned by the firm (unlike our other leased office spaces) and features a pet-friendly outdoor area where dogs can enjoy fresh air and exercise during breaks. To celebrate April as Dog Appreciation Month and National Pet Day on April 11, we’re highlighting the value that dogs bring to our studio.

Pet-friendly workplaces have been shown to facilitate bonding, provide comfort and stress relief, and enhance work engagement, ultimately improving work-life quality. Staff in Bozeman say they recognize the role our canine companions play in shaping office culture and general well-being. Bringing their dogs to work helps encourage community and friendships among colleagues and makes office life fun.

Project architect Whitni Ciofalo, whose dogs Chani and Denver frequent the studio, notes: “Having well-behaved dogs in the office is a net-positive — it is a great way of reflecting both Hennebery Eddy’s and Bozeman’s culture. We embrace the Mountain West lifestyle that is still very rooted in the rural agricultural heritage and connection to the land — animals and dogs specifically are a huge part of this. But when we walk into a meeting, and our dog follows us in, lays down under the table, and stays there quietly for the whole meeting, it also shows that we are dedicated and serious about our work. People like people who like dogs.”
