Hennebery Eddy Architects named three new associate principals, growing the firm’s leadership team and recognizing contributions in project management, design technology, and firm operations.

Tereza Wiest, AIA, is a project architect and project manager leading a range of civic, cultural, and infrastructure projects. She was integral to two adaptive reuse projects for Multnomah County Library, transforming a former grocery store into the net-zero energy Operations Center and converting a mid-century warehouse into the new Northwest Library through a community-driven design process. She was also instrumental in the recently completed Portland Art Museum Rothko Pavilion and Campus Renovation. Tereza actively mentors emerging professionals, advancing Hennebery Eddy’s culture of collaboration and commitment to making others successful.

Jason Smith, AIA, is a project architect who advocates for using technology to advance design excellence. His work includes the Portland Art Museum Rothko Pavilion and Campus Renovation, where he was integral to the successful design, crafting extensive rendering and video packages to support fundraising efforts, and navigating design review and permitting. Jason also contributed to the design of several downtown Portland commercial projects, including renovation of the lobby at Columbia Square and rehabilitation of the historic Alderway Building. Jason advances Hennebery Eddy’s adoption of design technology, including BIM, 3D visualization, and renderings. He is a board member for Converge 45, a nonprofit arts organization in Portland.

Katie Pavarini, SHRM-CP, is Hennebery Eddy’s human resources manager, overseeing hiring and onboarding, employee development, and benefits administration. She recognizes the powerful connection between engaged employees, a successful organization, and client satisfaction. Since joining the firm in 2019, Katie has implemented numerous HR processes and best practices, including streamlining and scaling recruitment and hiring, as well as annual assessments and performance reviews. She helps lead the firm’s Growth & Opportunity Committee and administers the firm’s participation in Living Future’s Just program.

Congratulations to Tereza, Jason, and Katie!
