“With each of my projects, I try to live in my client’s shoes as much as possible. This allows me to respond to their motivations, aspirations, and, of course, their budget in a very direct way.”
Alan is a creative designer responsible for award-winning projects throughout the Northwest. As vice president at Hennebery Eddy, he helps oversee firm operations, including staffing and professional development, and also serves as principal-in-charge for a wide variety of academic and institutional projects. Alan leads the firm’s design-build and alternative project delivery efforts for academic and public projects; he is active in the Oregon chapter of the Design-Build Institute of America. He is detail-oriented, has a hands-on, proactive management style, and is known for problem solving – he was described by one client as “not just seeing a potential problem up ahead, but seeing it from down the street and around the corner.” Alan graduated with honors from the University of Oregon School of Architecture.
