Hotel deLuxe

The renovation design of this beloved Portland landmark was rooted in the era of decorative arts from the 1920s through the 1940s and the glamour and grace of the golden era of Hollywood. The renovation preserved the best elements of the past and seamlessly integrated them with a refined palette of color, texture, and furnishings from the Art Deco and Art Moderne movements – resulting in a classic, timeless, comfortable, and technologically savvy hotel.

The $10 million Hotel deLuxe renovation included a complete interior remodel of 130 guest rooms and suites (no two rooms are exactly the same), a lobby, a lounge and dining room, meeting/banquet rooms, the replacement of all finishes and furniture, a new electrical service, and upgrades to guest room HVAC units. David Hill of DH Design provided interior design services in collaboration with Hennebery Eddy Architects.

“Thanks to all who had a hand in designing and architecting this amazing hotel, which I am lucky enough to manage. From those of us who live it and breath it day in and day out … thanks.”
