Hennebery Eddy designed the Loyola Jesuit Center campus to fit naturally into its park-like setting in Southeast Portland. Four buildings of Northwest regional character provide living, working, conference, dining, and worship facilities for 30 Jesuits and guests and serves as the headquarters for the Oregon Province of the Society of Jesus. The design blurs the line between interior spaces and the dramatic sylvan landscape. American cherry panels, fir casing, and slate floors create a backdrop for key spaces, and flexible furnishings establish a welcoming and comfortable work environment.
“Hennebery Eddy Architects was a joy to work with throughout this project. They listened well … their suggestions helped us avoid mistakes and kept us on track both in budget areas and code issues … I believe we got an extremely impressive result for our limited dollars. They truly discovered our needs and wants and designed within budget.”
